HOURS: Kindergarten classes begin at 9:00 a.m. and end at 12:00 p.m. Your child should arrive no earlier than 8:50 a.m. and be picked up promptly at 12:00 noon.
LATE FEE: A $5.00 late fee will be charged for a child not picked up by 12:10 p.m. If you notify us or you have an emergency, there will be no charge. Please inform us when someone we do not know will pick your child up from school, and they must show a picture I.D. to do so.
AGE: Your child must reach age two, three, four or five by September 1st. Every child must be potty-trained.
TUITION (2007-2008):
$1,080.00/year or $120.00/month Five Year Olds 5 days a week (Monday –Friday)
$945.00/year or $105.00/month Four Year Olds 5 days a week (Monday –Friday)
$675.00/year or $75.00/month Three Year Olds 3 days a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday)
$360.00/year or $40.00/month Two Year Olds 1 day a week (Tuesday or Thursday)
Listed above are the tuition amounts for the 2007-2008 school year. You may submit the full amount at the beginning of the school year and receive a 5% discount or you may elect the monthly installment plan. Under the installment plan there are 9 payments. Payments begin in August and end in April, there is NO payment in May. The first payment is due by the end of August. After that each monthly installment is due by the 5th of each month. There is a payment drop box located in the church office. Please make checks payable to "Second Baptist Church". If you pay in cash, please turn in the exact amount. Also, please note the child’s name and teacher on the payment. A full year’s tuition is due despite absences, vacations, holidays, or withdrawals. Unfortunately we have had some delinquencies in the past, therefore if all past due balances are not dealt with by May 1st, your child will not be able to participate in the graduation program.

CURRICULUM: The A BEKA BOOK curriculum is a Christian based curriculum that will allow your child to achieve his or her highest academic potential. Academic training will include writing, numbers, phonics and the Bible. Your child will also spend time in art, music, and sharing activities.
IMMUNIZATION FORM: Your child will need a current Immunization Form 3231 on the first day of school. This form will remain on file in the church office until the end of the school year. It is the parent’s responsibility to keep their child’s immunization form current at all times.

DRESS CODE: Your child should dress in a manner that is pleasing to the Lord Jesus Christ. He or she may wear slacks, jeans, shorts, shirts, dresses or skirts. He or she may not wear short-shorts, halters or midriffs. Please do not let your child wear clothes or shoes with Pokemon, Trolls, Power Rangers, Goosebumps, any rock groups, Harry Potter, Bart Simpson, or similar characters (Casper, Ghost Busters, etc.). No Halloween clothing is allowed.
ILLNESS: In an effort to maintain a healthy classroom environment, your child must be symptom-free for a minimum of 24 hours. These symptoms include fever, vomiting, diarrhea, pink eye, non-clear nasal discharge, chronic cough, etc. If your child displays these symptoms, your teacher will call you to pick them up from school.
DISCIPLINE: All discipline will be administered with love.
TOYS: No toys are allowed at school except on days we have Show-n-Tell.
BIRTHDAY PARTIES: Birthday parties are allowed in our classrooms. Please check with your child’s teacher first. The teachers will distribute invitations as long as every child in the class is invited to attend.
WEATHER: Please log on to WMAZ.com or tune in to WMAZ for any cancellations or early dismissals due to severe weather.
RAINY DAYS: If it is raining, you may pick your child up under the awnings on the sides of the building. Same as last year, the older child will be dismissed with the younger child.
2 and 3 Year Olds - Dismiss under nursery entrance/sliding door awning (1st Drive—West side of church)
4 Year Olds - Dismiss under second awning (2nd Drive—East side of church)
5 Year Olds - Dismiss under first awning (2nd Drive—East side of church)
COLD WEATHER: Make sure coats and sweaters are labeled with your child’s name.
SCHOOL CALENDAR: The school calendar will work in conjunction with that of the Houston County School System, yet will be unique to Second Baptist Kindergarten.
