Monday
We had a GREAT trip down today. The buses were great and ran perfectly while we were on the road.

While we were eating at the Mall Food court, one of the buses developed a mechanical problem. While we waited, some of our own (David Falldine) tried in vain to fix the problem,

with the results that you would expect! But then the real mechanic showed and quickly fixed the problem.

With great anticipation we finally arrived at the Holiday Inn Coco Beach, Florida

(see here for a peek at the rooms and the grounds.
After getting into our rooms, we met and Bro. Mike once again laid down the law so that everyone would know all the rules.

We had a great meal of Caesar salad, green beans, spaghetti and meatballs, lasagna, and some great Luigi Ice. If your child says that the food isn’t good they aren’t eating in the same place that the rest of us are.

We then met for praise time. Here is James Dollar and our praiseband "The Narrow Gate" praying before they led us in some great praise of God. We are so glad that they are seeking God before they try to lead us into God's presence.

We started out singing about “God’s Love” and ask God to be glorified in our lives.

Next, some of the Onward gang presented a skit about “growing more intimate with God,” which is what worship really is.

Then Dr. Caner presented our message.

Isn't his family cute?
Tonight's message was “ What does God Require of You?” from Mathew 22 verses V34-46
This week we are going to talk about the 7 wonders of the world – the
seven most asked questions. Many of us may be asking these same questions.
They include the classics like Why does God allow evil?, Is evolution
true?, Can you actually say that there is ONLY one way to heaven?, What
now shall I do? and others. But first we need to deal with us and our most
important question: What does God require from me?
3 points of why people reject Jesus v37
1. They are dogmatic rebels (Heart/will)– they don’t want to
change their heart
We have to get to the point where we are willing to change.
You will never have all of the answers! (Why? Because you aren’t God.)
But you can surrender to him even without knowing everything.
2. They are disappointed rebels. (Soul/life) They don’t want to change
their life. They have been disappointed and because of that they have turned
away from God, the only one who can help you. What you do with your experiences
either make you a devoted follower or a disappointed rebel.
Not all of God’s promises are positive, but He will be in the midst
of them all.
Surrender is on God’s terms. Take what’s given to you and thank
God.
3. They are doubting rebels. (Mind/understanding) This is the intellectual thinker. They are waiting for someone to answer their questions. We must be able to answer their questions.
So the question is “Do we love the Lord our God with all our heart,
with all our soul, and with all our mind?” God requires that we give
him EVERYTHING!
Everyone has questions. Only God has the answers.

After a short break, the JJ Weeks Band presented our evening concert.

Finally, we had church share time, room share time and lights out. Please pray for us. Pray that God would lead Bro. Mike, Emir Caner, James Dollar, The Narrow Gate, your child's counselor and your child. Pray that we would all be open to what God wants to tell us.
