Tuesday PM
We had a great time on the beach and at the pool this afternoon. Here are a few pictures of our fun in the pool.

We saw some pretty good diving.

The beach ws also really nice, but hot if a camera kept you from getting in the water. Hopefully, we'll get more pictures tomorrow.

Later we all had our picture taken on the beach. Here is a picture of a great bunch of SBC kids.

Click here to see a large (but completely unofficial) picture of the entire SBC gang.
Dinner tonight was salad, green beans, potatoes, roast beef, rolls, and ice cream. It was very good.
James Dollar encouraged us to really get into our Bibles, and sang the song “Before the Day Slips Away.”

The Onward folks taught us that even though the world thinks that you can go to your neighborhood McJesus and order a serving of Jesus any way you want him, that Jesus is who God says he is in the Bible and he never changes. We have to take him as he is and take him all - there is no getting $5 worth of Jesus. He's all or nothing.

Dr. Emir Caner taught on Matthew 5:43-48
Why would God allow evil? (If evil exists, then God must not exist.)
Before asking, “God, why is this happening?” remember if God
is in it – you can handle it (whatever it is.) The converse is also
true: if God isn’t in it, you can’t
If God did not allow evil to exist, we would not be here today because WE
are sinful, evil people.
What purpose is there for evil? Three reasons God allows (not causes) evil.
1. To illustrate God’s answer to the problem of evil, especially in
comparison to man’s answer to evil. Man’s answer as stated by
the religious leaders was “You shall love your neighbor (Lev 19:18)
and hate your enemy (which is found no where in the scripture.)” Instead
of changing God’s word, we need to change our minds.
So we can understand what free will is. Love is voluntary. We are allowed
to love or reject God. Evil is the rejection of evil. The existence of evil
proves the existence of God. For evil to exist, good must also exists and
evil and good can ONLY be defined by God.
People with problems, have the most faith.
Even in evil and suffering there is purpose in life as long as God is in control.
2. Illustrate His love compared to the pain of evil v44
For love to be genuine, you must do the opposite.
For there to be good, there must be something bad.
3. Illustrate God’s power over the power of evil.
Only two options – destroy evil or allow it. Destroy it and you have
to destroy man. Allow it and you have a loving, longsuffering God. His love
ultimately conquers evil.
Even the goodness of God is in the darkest of times.
The hardest prayer is, “Lord, not my will, but yours.”
Why would God allow evil to go unpunished? He didn’t. Jesus paid it
all.
How can you live without God? YOU CAN’T!!! How can people face evil
without God? Will you make the decision to give your life to God?

Comedian Rich Praytor entertained us.

He was much funnier than the comedian (sic) from last year. Somehow he convinced Allison to give KungFu Fighting lessons. She did a great job and we all laughed a lot. (And yes, that is Don Hancock in the background! The other folks are leaders and kids from some of the churches that are camping with us - it is a true priviledge to partner with other churches to make a great camp even better.)

After church share time and room share time we all got a great night of
sleep (I’m sure)!!
