Tuesday Notes

After a last Monday of sightseeing, we were all a little tired for VBS,

but God refreshed us and we had a great day of VBS again. Here is the 1st & 2nd grade class.

Here is the 3rd and 4th grade class.

We are learning new songs every day.

And then singing them in our closing rally.

Also, while we were doing VBS, some of the folks distributed the invitation to Groveton in the neighborhood around the church.

After VBS was over, Mrs. Pam fed us a great lunch of grilled pork chops, rice, broccoli casserole and peanut butter pie. Then it was time to go out sightseeing again. Tonight we went to the Holocaust Museum which was very thought provoking. We spent a pretty good bit of time there, but there was so much to see that even in a couple of hours, we didn’t scratch the surface on all there was to see. Then we took a whirlwind tour through the abbreviated Museum of American History (which is currently housed in the Museum of Aviation), then to the National Archives and finally to the White House.

After dinner at Union Station we came back to the hotel for a good night’s sleep.
